ततो द्वङ्द्वानभिघातः ॥४८॥
tato dvaṅdva-an-abhighātaḥ

tatah =
then, thereby, thence, from that
dvandva =
the pairs of opposites, the dualities, dichotomies
anabhighata
= unimpeded freedom from suffering, without effect or impact, cessation of
disturbance
This
results in a victory over the duality of life. ||48||

Maybe the
Sage Patanjali didn’t gave descriptions of asanas, but with this Sutra He
indicate to us the importance of the asanas practice. With this Sutra He
clearly said that asanas practice is the foundation of our Yoga development. For
sure asanas is not the end, is just the beginning, but without a strong foundation,
none would be hopping to go further to Pranayama and so one until to reach to
Samadhi.
